Wayne Bobalicious rocking out with his guitarAfter riding on the Hale-Bopp comet for a few years, it felt like a change was needed. Once entry into our solar system was achieved, I started hearing rock guitar riffs that were being picked up by my systems intermittently from the ionosphere. Earth seemed to be the source of the signal and had to be investigated. After roaming the planet for two decades, Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada was chosen as a beacon to broadcast rock over the airwaves and to continue the search for the ultimate guitar riff.

Welcome to my website, please join me 3pm - 6pm Monday to Friday Yukon Time on 98.1 CHON FM to hear the best in rock. Spanning the decades and surfing through all sorts of genres, you can be guaranteed to have your listening experience enhanced.

As a youngster, Wayne would wake up at an early morning hour on the weekends, and instead of turning on the television to watch cartoons he would put records on and jump up and down on the sofa in the living room, thus began his life long love of rock music.

In his early teen years he would record his own radio shows on cassette tapes and interview his friends.  Inevitably drums and guitar would become the instruments to learn and his much admired rock heroes would be emulated.

Much later he attended the Columbia School of Broadcasting and Recording Arts in Vancouver where he graduated at the top of his class. There he met like minded individuals and formed bands.  Eventually Wayne worked on cruise ships playing with orchestras and traveling the world where one day he did visit his sister in the Yukon while docked in Skagway, Alaska. After many years of roaming the globe, Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada became home and CHON-FM became the beacon to broadcast the music he loves.
